[PART 1] Toners | Serums | Essences | Moisturizers

[See how I kind of lied in the ‘family photo’, though? I use decant spray bottles for my toners!]

⋆SON & PARK Beauty Water⋆

I’d be lying if I didn’t say this product confuses me. It’s like a micellar water/toner/ mild exfoliating hybrid? Regardless, it has a lot of alcohol, so I can’t use it when my skin feels sensitive for any reason, but it does feel nice normally, and leaves me feeling clean?

⋆Hada Labo Shirojyun Premium⋆

I used to use the regular HL Shirojyun toner, until somewhat losing interest… and then recently, this version came out, with the addition of some new, neato ingredients like tranexamic acid– and like a sucker, I was sold. I really like it, though– 3 sprays in the palm of my hand from that little blue-cap bottle, spread it across my face, and then I’m in soft city~

⋆Klairs Supple Preparation Toner⋆

This is one of those products I would have never even considered purchasing had it not been hyped to the moon and back on r/asianbeauty. After a while, I gave in (I mean come on, it’s only $19 on Amazon Prime) and was instantly wowed. Very thick texture for a toner, but sooo hydrating! I can only handle two sprays from that tiny spray bottle on my face at once, it’s so moist.

⋆Melano CC Essence⋆

Love, LOVE this stuff. I usually use it in a small dab on each cheek and the forehead, then wipe the excess off the tip of the applicator and use that for my nose and spread to under my eyes. I apply this either to a fresh washed face, after the SON & PARK (or all toners)– but my secret fave is to apply it after masking for a long time (it almost seems to exfoliate? but it feels baby soft and amazing). I’ve been through more complete bottles of this than any other product (3 empties so far!)

⋆Aromatica Absolute Rose First Serum⋆

Hands down the loveliest,  most realistic aroma of any rose scented product I’ve ever used– and seeing as rose is my favorite aroma, I’ve used a lot. Wonderfully moisturizing and just a nice product in general. I have to admit though, I’ve decanted this product some… 4 times? As the bottle has a weird shake cap I find incompatible with the texture.

⋆Sidmool Snail Liposome Brightening Essence*

The newest addition to my routine. It’s a very light, somewhat runny consistency in your hands, but feels a bit heavy on my face, so I need to give it some time to sink in, or dab gently with a hand towel before moving on to the next step. I’m not sure about this one yet, and have ordered a different essence to try alternately, and the cream version of the Sidmool Snail Liposome Brightening line to use for the winter, instead.

⋆Elsa Gusa Ceramide Moist Essence Intensive Moisturizing⋆

This was a true impulse purchase, given the heavy price tag ($50+) and while it works nicely as a moisturizer, it definitely is not magically brightening enough to warrant a ‘repurchase’, at the price I got it for. I will give it credit for containing more ceramides than the Dr.Jart+ Ceramidin Liquid, though.

⋆Dr.Jart+ Ceramidin Liquid⋆

Also fairly new to my routine, but after falling in love with the Ceramidin Gel-Cream from the same line, I was confident that this would work out for me, too. Works well as an extra, gentle layer of moisture when you really need one! Usually alternate with the Elsa Gusa, depending on how much moisture I feel I need (the Ceramidin Liquid is thicker).

⋆Sidmool Vitamin C Energy Waterfull Gel⋆

Nice, light moisturizer. Very non-sticky although it’s a true gel texture! Usually used in tandem with one of the two products to the right–

⋆Sidmool Natural Whitening Waterfull Cream⋆

Pretty much my perfect lightweight moisturizer for the hot summer, with an amazing finish upon drying down. Often used with the Vita C gel, but without the Ceramidin Gel-Cream, or with the Ceramidin, but not the Vita-C gel.

⋆Dr.Jart+ Ceramidin Gel-Cream⋆

Bow down to the holy grail moisturizer. Alright, I kid, but this is so versatile, gentle, soothing, moisturizing, lightweight– I could go on. But you’ve heard me rave all about it in the full review I wrote about it  earlier this week~

⋆Sleeping Packs⋆

look who’s back, back again…

[you can read a full review of these two products HERE]

⋆Laneige Water Sleeping Mask [Lavender]⋆

Used quite often as an occlusive: an extra layer of moisture that seals everything else in! My regular nightly sleeping pack, save for a couple of nights a week when I use…

⋆Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Mask⋆

Extremely gentle AHA mask that feels greasy on my fingers when I first touch it, but so so sooo soft when it’s rubbed into my face, and after I wash it off in the morning. Noticeably smooths and brightens my skin, too!
